Please include your iOS version, DenkLaut version, and the visible error message. We will never ask for your Apple Account password, recovery code, or complete private transcripts.
Recording will not start
- Check microphone access for DenkLaut in iOS Settings.
- End any call or other app that is using the microphone exclusively.
- Reopen DenkLaut and make a short test recording without personal content.
Model or transcription is not ready
The first model download needs a stable internet connection and approximately 649 MB of data; additional free device storage is required for preparation and operation. Transcription then works offline. Do not delete the app as a first troubleshooting step because that can remove local data. Note the displayed error instead.
A recording is waiting or failed
DenkLaut keeps unconfirmed audio protected. Check the model status first, then choose Try again. Delete a recording only when you are sure it is no longer needed; deletion cannot be undone.
Folders, copy, and merge
Folders and transcripts remain local. When you copy, DenkLaut places text on the clipboard for up to one hour; Universal Clipboard may transfer it to your other devices if enabled. Merge creates a new entry from selected thoughts and asks for confirmation before replacing the selection.
Apple Watch
The Apple Watch app is available and supports recording directly from your wrist. After you stop, the recording transfers securely to the paired iPhone and enters its local transcription queue. The Watch keeps the audio for recovery until the handoff is confirmed.
